Summer Concert Series
June 14, 2024 (12-1 pm): Strung Out



Strung Out is Chicago’s ultimate 70’s musical experience.

They’ve dug through the incredible treasure trove of classic 70’s music that other bands overlook and found the greatest songs that are as diverse as the decade itself! Rock, soul, funk and fantastic one-hit wonders that are instantly recognizable have made them a favorite for audiences of all ages.


Summer Concerts are held in front of the library in the Dominic Froio Memorial Garden (with limited shade). Folding chairs will be provided, but for maximum comfort you are welcome to bring your own chair and/or hand-held shade umbrella. Popcorn, water, and ice cream will be available for purchase from the Friends of the Library, along with some fun give-aways.

Please bring small bills and quarters; we cannot provide change for $10 or over.

Summer Concert Series
July 12, 2024 (12-1 pm): The Beatelles



Meet The Beatelles! Experience the timeless music of The Beatles performed with harmonious perfection by four powerhouse female vocalists. Backed by musicians with years of Beatle tribute experience, this female fronted, multimedia production, brings a fresh and entertaining twist to a familiar and endearing songbook that spans from 'Love Me Do' to 'Let It Be'.

Ice Cream Social
Thursday, August 1, 2024 (5:30-8:30 p.m.) Celebrate the end of summer reading with ice cream novelty treats!


Join us in the BPL parking lot for:

  • ice cream $1.50 each (with tickets purchased at event)
  • popcorn 50¢ each (with tickets purchased at event)
  • iced coffee $1 each (with tickets purchased at event)

Summer Concert Series
August 9, 2024 (12-1): Zydeco VooDoo




Zydeco Voodoo plays a fun mix of New Orleans style music and Zydeco, as well as popular rock, blues, and our original tunes in an upbeat style you may hear down on Bourbon street.
The music gets you dancing, singing along and having a good time. We encourage children and adults to come up on stage and participate by dancing or playing our percussion instruments.

Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for trick-or-treating activities. Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult. To ensure participant safety while walking through the various facility parking lots during this event, parking will be PROHIBITED in the parking lots. Please park in the surrounding residential area.

Snowman Crossing (Community Decorated Trees) - November 27 through December 2

Stop by the library for this fun open house! We begin at 6:45 p.m. outdoors, when our special guest arrives to light our holiday trees for the season. We then move inside for entertainment, crafts, snacks, and more!

the Youth Services desk by Friday, February 2 to receive your book prize and be entered into

Using Previous Registrations: If you previously registered for any 2022-2023 library reading programs, your login information is also valid for Winter Reading and all future reading programs.
Family Registration: You can register all family members under one account. Start your family registration at the Adult Services Desk.
Logging Minutes: Kids, teens, and adults all log minutes. Paper logs are also available at the Adult and Youth Services Desks. Reading to your child or sibling? Those minutes count for you, too!
Beanstack App: Download the optional app for Apple or Android to easily track minutes and stats like reading streaks. The app makes participating fun and easy!

Tickets are required and go on sale Friday, November 1. Tickets are only sold at Bloomingdale Public Library.

Adults $15
Kids ages 4-12 $10
Kids under age 4 are free (but still require a ticket for occupancy/seating placement)
Tickets are available in the Library Business Office during the following hours:

All ticket sales are final; tickets can not be resold. Cash or check only; if paying with cash, please bring as close to exact change as possible. We cannot make change for $50 or $100 bills. Tickets are ONLY sold at BPL in the Business Office; no tickets are sold online or at the Bloomingdale Golf Club.
