Experience the wonder and beauty of live butterflies! Learn all about butterflies and spend time in a self-contained butterfly tent where you get to observe live butterflies flying, eating, and more.

Have our featured artists draw a keepsake of you or your family to take home.

Lori Fako Utley, Harpist, playing 70s music until 1:00 p.m. in Teen Territory
The Other Guys, a Chicago-based cover band playing 70s rock, pop, country, and blues from
12:30 – 2:00 p.m. in Meeting Room A/B.
Refreshments
Enjoy light snacks in Meeting Room A/B.
Craft
Kids can come to the BPL Makerspace and make a fun craft to take home

Throughout the library, enjoy displays of our history, 70s culture, raffles, and giveaways from BPL and the Friends of the Library.

All giveaways and refreshments will be provided during the event times listed and are available while supplies last

Summer Concert Series
Friday, June 13, 2025 (12:00-1:00 p.m.) - Centerfold

Centerfold commands attention as a powerhouse tribute band covering the female legends of the Rock and Roll glory days. They feature one of Chicagoland’s most gifted female vocalists at center stage belting out the classics of the 70s and 80s, or hits of more recent years, such as those by Pink, Carrie Underwood, and Lady Gaga. Come out and enjoy this great show without pre-recorded tracks or theatrics, the way live music entertained us when Rock and Roll wasn’t just music, it was the soundtrack of our lives!


Summer Concerts are held in front of the library in the Dominic Froio Memorial Garden (with limited shade). Folding chairs will be provided, but for maximum comfort you are welcome to bring your own chair and/or hand-held shade umbrella. Popcorn, water, and ice cream will be available for purchase from the Friends of the Library, along with some fun give-aways.

Please bring small bills and quarters; we cannot provide change for $10 or over.

Attend all 3 Summer Concerts and get your Grand Prize entry sheet stamped at each one to be entered into the Grand Prize drawing after the final concert in August.

Described as having an engaging and powerful sound with soul, Horizon is a horn-infused band performing memorable funk, soul, R&B, and rock from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Their songs are familiar and remain popular across all generations of listeners.

The Saratogas blend Soultown sounds and Yacht Rock favorites with a spin on radio hits from the 60s through 80s. Young and old will love this band: they play music that makes your ears happy!.

Snowman Crossing (Community Decorated Trees)
Wednesday, November 26 and Friday, November 28 through Monday, December 1, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
