With your Bloomingdale Public Library card, you can download eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, movies, and TV shows. Read or watch on a computer or compatible phone, tablet, eReader, or streaming device.

Important App Update - Starting September 27, the Axis 360 app will be discontinued and replaced with the new Boundless app. Install the new Boundless app from your app store, log in, and you're back up and reading! Your checkouts, reading lists, and holds will all move over to the Boundless app.

Check Out eReaders, Tablets, and More From the Library
The library offers various eReader, tablets, and MP3 players for checkout at the Circulation Desk.
eReader Circulation Policy
- eReaders circulate for 2 weeks.
- eReaders may be placed on hold.
- One renewal if there are no holds.
- eReaders can only be checked out to Bloomingdale residents whose accounts are in good standing (no fines in excess of $5.00).
- Restricted to use by cardholders ages 18 and older.
- The eReader must be returned inside the library and handed directly to a staff member at the Circulation Desk.
- Check out is limited to one per family.
Using the Library's eReaders
- Library staff will verify that the eReader is in good working order and that all components are present at the time of checkout.
- The eReader and all components must be returned in the same condition as when they were borrowed.
- Please report hardware/software problems immediately by calling the Circulation Desk at (630) 924-2750. Patrons may be held responsible for any unreported problems.
- Failure to comply with any of the outlined guidelines below will result in the loss of privileges of borrowing an eReader. This includes but is not limited to:
- Abuse of the equipment;
- Repeatedly returning the eReader late;
- Placing the eReader in a book drop;
- Tampering with the eReader, accessories, digital books, or attaching any equipment not designed for use with the eReader. - Users MAY NOT install ANY software or change the configuration of the eReader.
- The patron is responsible for full replacement costs of the eReader or any parts that are lost, stolen, damaged, or otherwise not returned.
MP3 Player
The library has an MP3 player available for checkout at the Circulation Desk, so you can load your own music or audiobooks. Please be aware that the library deletes all files stored on the MP3 player when it is returned.
