The Local History Room was established in 1999 to maintain existing archives and further collect manuscripts, photographs, oral histories, and published items pertinent to the history of the Village of Bloomingdale. If you are researching genealogy or have an interest in Bloomingdale history, you will find that the Local History Room contains a wealth of information to help you in your search.

The Local History Room is open during library hours. Individual help is available by phone (630-924-2765), in-person (hours may vary), and email (bdlh@mybpl.org). If you are visiting with a group, please contact us ahead of time, so we have adequate staff to meet your needs.
