Join us online as we enjoy this illustrated talk designed for general audiences, focused on the technological and material challenges families face when preserving photographs, recordings, and digital artifacts before they're lost. 

The program combines practical guidance with real-world examples from libraries and cultural archives, and is designed to give audience members actionable tips they can apply to their personal archives.

Presenter Cal LaFountain is a writer focused on cultural memory, archival storytelling, and emergent preservation technologies.

Beginner American Mahjong with Dee, Part 1 of 2

Mahjong with Dee is a beginner-friendly American Mahjong program designed for adults with little or no previous experience. Participants are introduced to the game step by step, including the tiles, National Mah Jongg League card, selecting a hand, the Charleston, rules and strategies for play, and guided practice. The program is taught in a comfortable, supportive setting that allows participants to build confidence as they learn and practice the game. No previous Mahjong experience is required. 

Part 2 will be the following Monday, February 1 at 6pm. Registration begins Monday, December 28 at 9:00am for both sessions.
