Bloomingdale Public Library (BPL) cardholders (ages 12-adult) are welcome to use the Makerspace during Open Use Hours. SPECIAL USA-wide EVENT!  Read Aloud the Declaration of Independence!

Join us for this unique event, one to prove memorable! 

On July 8, 1776, four days after the signing, the United States Declaration of Independence was read aloud from the Pennsylvania State House (now Independence Hall) in Philadelphia, and later distributed to public facilities across the fledgling country. 

250 years later, this country will do this again, but this time, you are invited to participate! At exactly 5:00pm Central Daylight Time on June 8, we will gather at the Froio Garden and read aloud printed copies of The Declaration, just as people across the country in every time zone will do the same!

In case of inclement weather, festivities will be move to Meeting Room A.
